Voronezh Academic Street Theatre, or the VAS theatre for short, is a young team of artists, the first street theatre in the city. It was formed at the initiative of the Platonov Arts Festival, with active participation of one of the most experienced and famous street theatres in Russia – "Mr. Pejo's wandering dolls" theatre. Its artistic director Anna Shishkina (Mother Meadows) not only staged the debut performance of the VAS theatre, but also taught Voronezh artists the intricacies of street theatre art.
