Meet-the-artist event with Grigory Sluzhitel

Grigory Sluzhitel is a theatre and film actor, a musician, the author of the bestselling book "The days of Savely" that was awarded the Russian literary awards "The big book" and "Yasnaya polyana". He graduated from the directing department of the Russian institute of theatre arts (workshop of Sergey Zhenovach). He is also an actor of the Studio of Theatre Arts, the lead singer of the band "O'Casey".

"I love Beckett, and as a prose writer much more than as a playwright. I remember well how I was traveling on a train to Voronezh on tour, it was autumn, and I bought myself a small collection of "First Love". This is such a tight, dried out laconic prose. And outside the window - a strange colorless October landscape, rhyming very well with this prose. And so I read it, and the first line from the future novel (by the way, it was not included in the book afterwards) was composed in my head."
