Joseph Raikhelgauz is a director, People's Artist of Russia, professor at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts – (GITIS), author of over 100 performances, television films, television and documentary films and radio programmes, books, articles, and stagings. He is the winner of many prestigious Russian and foreign theatre awards; creator and artistic director of the Moscow theatre "School of Modern Drama".
