At the core of the performance lies the poem "Kulager", the pinnacle of creativity of the classic of Kazakh literature Ilyas Dzhansugurov. The story about the great Kazakh poet and singer Akhan Sere and the tragic death of his beloved stallion Kulager who was killed by Akhan’s envious enemies during the race is presented as soundrama genre – music-plastic form where sound, music, intonation pattern of speech and movement merge together to fully expose the director’s metaphor.
"Kulager generally stands for all people who crave for some ideal. There are always some others who attempt to stop them. This also goes for artists." Farkhad Moldagali
