"Life" is a solo performance based on Andrey Platonov’s short story "The Tale of a Dead Old Man". This is a story about an elder Tishka, who was left alone during the Great Patriotic War in his home village when it was attacked by the Germans. The performance tells us about War, Earth and Stars. Here a bullet talks, sparrows walk in formation, and the stars laugh like little children. This is a story about strength and spirit that manifests itself in a person even in a moment of despair.

In Denis Kazachuk’s production, the main character is not just a quiet villager, he is an image of an immortal nation who is not afraid of any enemy, and who rises after all the executions and deaths, unbroken and ready to live on.
