Meet-the-artist event with Asya Volodina

The topic of the meeting is "Theatricality and cinematography in modern prose." A conversation about the dialogue between literature and theatre, literature and cinema within texts, "the literature of 30-year-olds," school and university in modern prose.
Asya Volodina is a prose writer, translator and teacher. Asya was born in Feodosia and grew up in Tolyatti. She graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, received a candidate's degree in philology and teaches Estonian.
In 2020, with her debut novel "Part of the Picture," Asya Volodina became a finalist for the Lyceum Award, and was also longlisted for the Alexander Zinoviev Intellectual Literature Award. Her second novel, "Protagonist," was given the first Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre Award 2023 in the "Literature" category. In December 2023, the writer published a new book, "Cicadas," a novel based on the script for the TV series of the same name.
