The oldest symphony orchestra in Russia, which celebrated its 140th anniversary in the 2022/2023 season. History of the Orchestra which, according to foreign reviews, "is among the world's elite and, without a doubt, historically the most important orchestra in Russia" - began in 1882. Throughout its existence, the orchestra has managed to stand in line with the world's most famous musical collectives. The orchestra's extensive touring activities during last seasons have included concerts at the Paris Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Vienna Musikverein, Frankfurt Alte Oper, the Royal Festival Hall in London and more.
