World Music in the White Well

One of the largest and most anticipated events of the festival takes place in a picturesque location — the chalk quarry White Well, just outside of Voronezh.
The artists perform pieces that reflect the unique cultures of different nations, reinterpreting traditional motifs and giving them a modern touch.
This year, the open-air concert brings together performers from Ghana (SANTROFI), Cuba (LA DAME BLANCHE), and Serbia (S.A.R.S):
SANTROFI is a group of young musicians who blend traditional Ghanaian rhythms with modern, energetic styles.

LA DAME BLANCHE is a singer and flutist from Cuba whose work fuses a variety of styles and rhythms, from Latin traditions to modern hip-hop and dancehall.

S.A.R.S is a Serbian alternative rock band combining pop rock, reggae, blues, jazz, and hip-hop with the ethnic music of Serbia.
